I am thrilled to be contributing to the invaluable work of the Aldridge Foundation as an intern during my gap year. The Aldridge Foundation has allowed me to witness the tangible impact that these initiatives have on young people. Being a part of this team is truly a rewarding experience because as a bursary recipient myself, I understand the importance of giving young people an equal chance at life, and I now have the privilege of also creating a positive impact.

Taking this break before university has provided me with hands-on experience and a unique opportunity for personal development. It has allowed me to step away from academia momentarily and gain insights into an entirely different field of work. Looking forward, my plans include undertaking a degree in biological sciences next year, with a keen interest in delving into the field of genetic research. The experiences and lessons gained during my internship at the Aldridge Foundation will undoubtedly serve as a solid foundation for my academic journey.
